PreKinder/Kinder Jungle Fun Crafts: Monkeys!

Prekinder and Kinder made their own little monkeys today! Oo-Oo-Aa-Aa! Let’s see how they made their little primates~ First things first is cutting out the monkey shapes and placing them in their little trays. So they don’t get lost! Everyone made sure to cut their pieces out so nicely. I’m really impressed! Next, using a brown paper bag as the base of their monkey, they glued on their monkey pieces! Don’t forget the eyes~ And voila~ A lovely little monkey friend has been made!

Pre and Kinder Jungle Fun Craft: Snakes!

Today we made another fun jungle craft for Spring school: Ssssssssnakes! The first step of this craft is to paint a regular paper plate yellow. How does a simple white plate turn into a snake you ask? Well here’s how we did it! Simply use any ol’pair of scissors and cut a spiral patturn in the paper plate. This will give it the curvly and wiggly shape of a snake! After the shape has been cut, it’s time to decorate!! Using different colors and shapes, the kids decorated their snakes however they wanted using the confetti available to them. Wow! It’s coming along really nicely! Everyone’s snake is so colorful!!…

Elementary Craft: Tic-Tac-Toe

Here is fun craft during our Spring school session: Tic-Tac-Toe! The first part of this craft is painting popsicle sticks! These popsicle sticks will be the lines dividing the base of their Tic-Tac-Toe board. After the sticks are painted, it’s important to wait until they are completely dry… While the sticks are drying, they kids take the time to glue together their board and pieces. Inside the board, there are small pieces of magnets that have been glued inside. Next, they glue their painted sticks onto the board in a “#” formation. While they are waiting for everything to glue, they create their “X” and “O” pieces to small magnets.…

PreKinder/Kinder Seahorse Craft

Today’s craft for Prekinder and Kindergarten are adorable, little seahorses! The painted cut out only needs to be decorated. Everyone carefully placed jewels on their seahorse with such diligent concentration! Wow! So cute! Simply tie a string through the seahorse and the seahorse will be able to go wherever someone takes them. Simple, easy, and cute! What a great craft!

Elementary Summer School Craft: Surfboard

Surf’s up!! Today our Spring school was ready for any wave to come with their adorable surfboard craft~ With a simple cardboard cut out, the kids got to choose the color of their surfboard and they painted the day away. After the surfboard dries, they got to use jewels and beads to decorate their surfboard however they wanted. Everyone looks like their having so much fun making their own unique design! Finally, when it dries, the finished product is… Amazing!! Everyone’s surfboard looks really great!

Summer Research Project

Apart of our summer school we have some of our older kids work on independent projects. Here, one of our students worked on presenting silly laws around the world! No matter what country you are in, the legal system is undoubtably a labyrinth of judicual jargon that all citizens must abide by. However, they are some laws that are simply out of date or down right silly! Even after researching many silly laws from all different places, he drew and painted a wonderful representation of the world! What a great project idea! Good job, Souta!

Dinosaur Week: Day 1

This week, we are introducing some of the most ancient animals to have ever walked the earth… DINOSAURS!! To learn about dinosaurs, just like any other living creature, it’s important to first understand their first steps into life. For today’s craft, our summer school kids are creating their very own dinosaur eggs!! Let’s see how they made it… First, they use a white paper plate to resemble the egg of a hatching little dinosaur. With special pens, the kids are able to make a polka dotted design for their eggs in colors of their choice! Next, everyone gets their own little dinosaur to color! I wonder what kind of dinosaur…

Dinosaur Week: Day 2

Day 2 for summer school’s dinosaur adventure and another day to learn about the life of a dinosaur!! I wonder what kind of craft they’re going to make today?? Let’s take a look… So much green paper! What part of the dinosaur will they learn about today?  They taped together a small green band and are cutting up green pieces into shapes. Dinosaur Week: Day 3

Day 3 of everyone’s dinosaur adventure and we’re so excited to see what today’s craft will be! What kind of dinosaur did they make today? For this craft, they’re working with big tissue boxes and small colorful tissue paper! With great work, everyone glues the small pieces of paper one by one on two boxes!   Everyone worked so hard, so the results surely must be amazing! After some time and lots of glue… Woah!! Look at those shoes!! They really looks like the feet of a dinosaur~ Coupled with their headbands, this crafts makes for one adorable dinosaur costume!

Dinosaur Week: Day 4

The 4th and final craft of this dinosaur adventure is simple and cute. A great way to end this roar-tastic week! Let’s see what kind of craft they’ll make today… First, they painted a small cardboard roll completely orange. While the roll completely dries, they cut out certain shapes with orange construction paper. After the paint dries, glue on the orange cut outs onto the roll. Now it resembles a popular dinosaur friend! The pterodactyl!   Mr.Pterodactyl is so cute!! You can even put him in your hands to take him anywhere you want to go~
